Gringo v. Jagermeister

Hey Carlos,

I understand that you have been wondering what has happened to me and "Gringo", well all is going well.  Odin (Gringo) is a tremendous dog and my daughter loves him to death and visa versa.  I have had to save a couple of family friends because he did not like the way that they handled her, which really surprised me because he is generally fine around people but he will not let you make an aggressive move toward the baby or myself.

Bobby Carella talks to me constantly about how impressed he is with his dog (J Litter).  Looking at pictures you can see that his dog and mine are related through Gustl.  Odin is not very big, he is only 78 lbs. but he is very hard and his drive is incredible.  I keep saying that I am going to bring him down for you to see him but something always comes up.  That is a poor excuse, especially considering what you did for me.  I am going to keep in touch with you from here out and I hope to see you soon.  I apologize for my lack of communication in the past.

Take care and I will be checking your website.

Itor v. Jagermeister

Hi Carols:

Thought I would drop you a line to let you know how pleased I am with Itor, son of Gustl and Wesley - he is doing well and is in training for his BH title.

His temperament is superb and his drives are very high - even though he is a big boy, he is gentle with dogs smaller than himself and very affectionate towards kids. He has a keen nose, e.g. last year my wife lost her keys at the bus stop and after searching for a week, we gave up and replaced the locks. About three weeks after this incident as I was walking Itor by this same bus stop, he began to bark aggressively and started digging in the ground. When I checked to see what he was digging at, he had found my wife's lost keys which was embedded in the dirt.

Regarding protection, he has a high degree of civil drive and his bite work is exceptional towards all helpers, with our without equipment, anywhere / anytime. He is excellent in the house and extremely protective of all those who live there.

Without a doubt, I am very pleased with Itor and would recommend your judgment in placing your dogs in their appropriate homes.

Glen Ramcharan (Canada)

 Ilka v. Jagermeister

Hi Carlos,

Wanted to drop you a note to say Hello and send some recent photos for you. Ilka is doing great. She remains a very happy dog and is extremely loyal to me, never leaving my side.

In fact, the photo of her on the couch with me was taken a couple months ago while I was sick, she climbed up with me and remained until I eventually got up. And the other photos are while I was recording some new guitar tracks and of course, she keeps with me.

Hope you and the family are well and I look forward to visiting you again one day, be it for another pup or just to stop in for a social call.

Sincerely,
Jake Cravotta (New Jersey)

Juanita Sol v. Jagermeister

Dear Carlos & Ai,

Thank you for breeding such an awesome dog, Sol is loving, strong, athletic & fearless. I take her to work with me at a small airport and she welcomes all strangers and she loves children. Her favorite activity is diving into our pool, she is a great swimmer. We cannot wait until we get another pup from you, we've already picked out a name!

Thanks,
Clare & Dave Eisler (Pennsylvania)

Hi Carlos and Ai,

This is a picture of Abby at 6 months of age... I think it is a better picture than the one that I previously sent to you.... She is doing great and has turned out to be a tremendous watch dog of our house and children.... She is very friendly but knows when to be protective... She has great instinct....  She is about 85 pounds now and is 3 years old.  She still loves playing frisbee and seems to never tire...  Once again thank you for the great dog and we will keep in touch and let you know how she progresses....

 Ozi v. Jagermeister

Hi Carlos

I was just looking through your website, wow, it has grown tremendously and your son is adorable. Hope all is well with you guys.  It seems like a lifetime ago when we bought Zoe (Ozi) from you guys and spent the summer training her. She is settling down now that she is getting on in years, she is still a beautiful dog and everyone still comments on it, she is now part of a pack of 5, yes we have finally cut off at 5 dogs. They love the farm life here in Colorado with the open spaces, open irrigation ditches to romp around in and they get to go on lots of fun walks. I am attaching some recent pictures of Zoe for you guys to see. Vee1 picture has Zoe in the front right with the rest of the pack. She gets on really well with other dogs now and we can walk her off leash.

Drop us a line when you get a chance out of your busy schedule.

Carlos,

Thank you once again for the great dog we got from you.

We could not have gotten a better puppy. She has her share of puppy moments,  but she is an extremely smart and loving dog. She is very social with other people and dogs, yet also very protective of her house.

The training you did with her was amazing and she loved working with you. You are truly a miracle worker. We can't wait to bring Freya back for the next level of training.

Thank you again

Hey Carlos & Ai,

We just wanted to thank you guys for breeding such a great dog. You picked a perfect dog for our family. Roman (Uileog) has the perfect temperament. He's great with the kids. He has become quite a babysitter.

I also want to say you did a great job of teaching me to train the dog. He's come a long way. Oh and thanks for being there to answer all of our silly questions. I'm sending along some pictures for your site. Thanks again and we'll see you in a couple of months.

Ursala v. Jagermeister

Carlos,

Thanks again for letting us have one of your puppies from your "U" litter.  She has been a pleasure so far and yes she does seem to enjoy gravel A LOT!!  She has bonded with our family and definitely makes herself at home here in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Anyway, we just got back from the local animal doctor/hospital and she got her next shot as well as a clean bill of health.  You informed us when we picked her up that she would need a name that started with the letter u - so we have chosen "Ursala".  Let us know if that's a problem..   FYI the name we call her is "Sophie".

Attached are some pictures that I have taken of her.  I plan on sending you pictures periodically of Ursala.

Thanks Again,

Vox v. Jagermeister

Hello Carlos, John Tarantino here, I have the V litter puppy named "Vox".  Just wanted to let you know he's doing great so far.  I love his temperament, and already I can see he's pretty smart dog.  Not only that but he's getting big fast, he's gonna be a really big boy.  I took some pictures I will send them to you later just to let you know how he's doing and his progress.

I was wondering if you could do me a favor if you have any pictures that you took of him when he was younger 8 weeks or so if you could email them to me.  I never really got any good pictures when we first got him, and he's getting so big I just wanna have some pictures of him from when he was a young pup all the way till he's fully grown.

I have been handling pretty much everyday when im home, he stays inside usually in my room, he's like my shadow everywhere I go he wants to be as well which I think is great if he's already acting that way as a pup.  I don't have any problems with him running the house, chewing things, knocking stuff over,  he always stays with me when im watching TV or a movie or even sleeping, I wake up and he's on the floor near my bed waiting for breakfast!.

Overall im really happy with him he's gonna be an awesome dog.  If you could let me know anything I should do with him while he's younger training wise. Like walking on a leash or how to teach him so he knows when he does something wrong, and correct it so the next time he knows better.  anyways take care and thanks in advance.

Win Guinness v. Jagermeister

Hi Carlos and Mrs. Carlos

Just thought I would drop you a few pictures of Guinness Haney from your April 2005 litter.

She is not only beautiful but a wonderful dog. She sits, shakes paws, lies down and stays. We are working on the come here and drop the Frisbee. She was house trained in no time and only had 1 accident in the house. Excellent puppy! Our other dogs do not like her yet. I feel this is only because she has a lot of energy and when she settles down, I hope they accept her. If not, we will continue to keep they separate. She loves to play Frisbee and is currently teething. I have never owned a German Shepherd before and this will not be our last.

My husband’s friend purchased her brother and we have been together with both pups. I have included a picture of Sean, her brother so you can see how they are growing.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Thank you,

Hello Carlos,

Just wanted to drop you a line and some pictures of Alice.  Debra and I want to thank you for allowing us to have such a great girl.  She is getting bigger and smarter.  Walks on the leash are great and she absolutly love them.

Her most favorite thing in the world is playing ball.  She just cannot get enough.  Alice is now fine tuning her nose by finding the ball that I hide from her.  She is an absolute pleasure to have. (Now if only she could talk.)

Hope all is well in NJ and the coming addition.  Would love to have Alice trained further and I will contact you a bit later.  For now enjoy the pictures and here's to seeing you soon.

Hi Carlos & Ai:

Here are a few pictures of Reina as she has grown bigger. She loves action. She's a happy puppy, LOVES HER FOOD, and is sociable and intelligent. People stop me on the street to tell me how beautiful she is. She still hasn't figured out why the cats don't act like dogs. She's adjusting very well here, with lots of human and dog friends, and never a speck of a problem in the crate. (She has one in the bedroom, so she sleeps through the night, and one downstairs.) She is a great puppy, and she keeps me very busy!! Thanks for your help in getting her a good start.

Hello Mr. Rojas.  How are you and the family doing?  This is Carlos.  I just wanted to tell you that Corona is doing very well.  She is so smart, I had a family BBQ at my house, there were a lot of people and children over the house.  I decided to let Corona out of her crate and join us, "because she is part of the family".. Mr. Rojas, everyone and I  were very impressed with her, she behaved very well, what ever I said to her she did right away.  Corona was playing ball with the children.  There ages were between 3 yrs old to 16 yrs of age.  Mr. Rojas, Corona played so gentle with the children, even a 3 year old!!!  We are so happy with her, not only she is gentle with my children, she is also a very good guard dog!!!  No one can come in my house or yard without me letting them.  That's how I like it!!!!Mr. Rojas, Thank you once again for Corona, she is a unbelievable dog.  We love her very much........THANK YOU !!!!

Kojak v. Jagermeister

Hi Carlos,

John and I wanted to give you a quick update on Kojak--who is wonderful!--now approaching 14 weeks old. You can see how beautiful he is in the attached pictures, and we can tell you that everyone who sees him is amazed at his calm, self-assured demeanor. I think he looks great, of course, but I'm most impressed by his intelligence. At only 12 weeks of age, he became completely (okay, nearly completely) house-trained. Knowing that I always treat him when he eliminates outside, Kojak even tried "fake peeing" to see if that would work--the little bugger. But the smartest thing he's done happened last week...

I was cooking sausage on the stove and hearing the sizzling set Kojak to barking and trying to pull me away; clearly, he wanted to take me somewhere. I finally let him and he took me to the bathtub of all places. I had no clue what he was doing, so I explained to him that the sausage only sounded like running water. I even showed him the sausage cooking to prove it. Nevertheless, he kept taking me back to the bathroom--1, 2, 3 more times. I was thinking What? You want to take a bath? Now?! I turned on the faucet and, sure enough, he jumped in. As it turned out, it wasn't a bath he wanted, but a drink of water. The poor guy was thirsty and couldn't figure out any other way to tell his dunderhead human friend that he needed a drink!

Anyway, John, the girls, and I love Kojak and couldn't be happier with him. We hope all is well with you...

Best regards,

John & Taylor DiMeglio (New York)

Nonie v. Jagermeister

Hi Carlos,

Nonie has settled in quickly and is doing very well.  She and the bichon have become good friends and play throughout the day.  Both dogs ride with us pretty much where ever we go, so Nonie (we call her Onie) is meeting a lot of people and seeing new places.  We work a little every day - she readily does sit, is coming along on stay and
waiting at the door, and has just begun a little bit of down; she picks up in a flash!  I still am unclear whether you taught her to follow along at your feet or whether that's innate, but it's a wonderful trait; it makes control so much easier.  So does the coming at a whistle...Wonderful.

From the first night, she has slept in my room.  Initially she slept on the floor by my bed, but after the second night she began to wander and I was afraid she'd get to chewing wires or carpets, so I began to crate her for sleeping.  She protested loudly for an hour or so the first night, but now settles down as soon as the light goes off and rests quietly until we get up at 6:30.

She's a joy and a superior dog.  Her sedate character makes her so easy, especially on my mother - thank you for thinking of that and for making her available to us.  We appreciate the kindness and consideration you've given, and, above all, we appreciate what a superior quality dog she is.

Ulrich Otto v. Jagermeister

Carlos,

We are extremely happy with our puppy Otto, which we picked up from you in November at a mere 10 lbs. Happy to report, he just got back from the vet for his shots and check up, he's a whopping 48 pounds, solid like you said he tapers nicely in the hips and can see the ribs. So a fit 48 pounds. He's very aware of what's going on around our daughter, which is why we wanted a German Sheppard and why we chose your facility.

Your wife had called a few months ago asking for a "U" name since Otto was from the "U" litter. We have- actually our daughter liked Ulrich, so if you can forward the info to your wife, we would appreciate it.

I just have two questions. The first is following up with training. You had mentioned we should start somewhere at the six month level. Other then a couple typical puppy issues (jumping- nipping while playing) he is a dream. Loves to walk daily, plays in the back yard, plays with our daughter who's 26 months and is very alert. He was house broken from day one, and loves to sleep in his kennel. Thanks for the advise of covering the kennel. We had bought a all wire kennel. I covered the kennel with thin press board and he loves the cave effect. Otto will be six months in April and I want to get on your schedule for the training. Watching you train the dogs when we first came to talk to you about a puppy was huge selling point. So if you can let me know when you have availability. My wife is a stay at home mom so really any day(s) during the week or weekend would work. Secondly, we are going to Florida for my wife's mother's 70 birthday on March 19th returning the evening of the 22nd. Is there a bordering facility you would recommend? Or do you border? I hate leaving him for the few days, I just think it would be too much this young to fly and the hotel is not pet friendly. We live in Toms River. I'm not a big fan of boarding, but I would trust you or your recommendation.

Thanks again for Otto, I've enclosed a photo for your pleasure.

Zeke Dexter de Jagermeister

Hi Carlos and Family,

I just wanted to share a picture of Zeke "Dexter" de Jagermeister.  We are so happy with him.  I can tell that he will definitely need to attend your training camp and I can't wait to get him set-up.  He's adjusted very well with the family and he's very smart.  He's up to 26 lbs now and the vet thinks he's going to go a large as 80 - 100 lbs.  We love having him as part of the family.  Thanks again,

Best regards,

Karen Barno (New Jersey)

Zotia de Jagermeister

Hi Ai and Carlos!

Just wanted to give you an update on Zotia.

Today was Zotia’s second visit to the vet and it was also the second time the vet commented on what an amazingly healthy puppy we have.  He noted her wonderful disposition, her fantastic personality and yet again asked where we got her.  He commented on what a great breeder we have and complimented us on our research.

I was sure to tell him she is my second German Shepherd from you and validated his compliments.

As you are aware, we live in a condo complex and there are easily 100 other dogs and puppies around here yet when we are out walking Zotia, EVERYONE stops to see her and tells us how gorgeous she is.

She is an absolute hoot and the missing piece to our puzzle.

Steve and I also took her along on a photo shoot we did and she ended up making her modeling debut there.

I am sending some pics from the shoot as well as a couple from home.

As you can see, she loves snoozing on her back and sitting by the water watching the ducks and geese.

Thank you again for providing us with yet ANOTHER PERFECT puppy!

Hi Carlos,

Greg and I wanted to share a some pictures with you of Jetty from your A litter that we picked up on Sunday May 31st.  We have been having so much fun raising her.  She is well socialized and is always around children, adults and other dogs.  We absolutely adore her.  She enjoys obeying commands, swimming in the pool, playing fetch and has been doing great with her crate training.  Thank you so much :)

Miles de Jageremister

Carlos and Ai,

We just wanted to say hello and let you know that Miles is doing great!!! We are so happy with him. He is getting along great with our other 2 dogs, Miles and Witten spend hours just running around the backyard. He does great in his crate , as soon as we grab a treat for him he goes running down the hallway and goes right in. He knows sit and lay down, we are working on off when he jumps and come when he outside, but he is really a fast learner. He loves to go for walks and had so much fun running around in the snow this past weekend. Miles and our son, who is now 14 months are like each others shadows they both follow each other everywhere, and get into everything together. He is wonderful with our son and so gentle and patient with him even though he is just a puppy, and our son Louis loves to go and give Miles hugs and lay with him on his bed, they are really cute together. Thank you again so much for such a great dog he was so worth the wait!!! We also sent a long a picture.

Thanks again,

Louis and Ashley Gracia (New Jersey)

Willa Grace de Casa Jagermeister

Carlos -

Just a note to let you know that Willa is adapting well with Rudy and Dakota and the cats. Well, she is the 4th puppy the cats have welcomed into the house, and they're just indifferent. However, they're beginning to play with her. She is very smart and very playful and full of energy.

Cleo (our 12 1/2 year old GSD who passed away two weeks ago), used to get the newspaper off the front walk every day up until the last few months. It started out as a game with Cleo and became her job. Last week, Willa was out front for potty time, saw the paper, picked it up and ran up the porch with it. Now she does this almost every day. We just have to get her to understand that we read the paper and it isn't a chew toy after she gets it on the porch.

Her presence has definitely picked up the spirits of the other pets, who seemed out of sorts after Cleo passed away. With all the running around, barking and hissing (on hardwood floors, no less), its hard to hear the television sometimes. She's getting bigger every day (obviously) and is a joy to have in our house. She is becoming well socialized with people, too.

Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity to have one of your dogs! We will give her plenty of love and a great place to live. In fact, we have friends who joke that when they die they want to come back as a Griffin cat or dog!

 Xavi de Casa Jagermeister

Carlos, This is your X Litter Xavi getting the yard work done. I cut the branches and he runs them around before placing them on the pile. Happy dog! Great dog!!! And he loves swimming in the local spring fed creek. This creek has some deep holes where Xavi goes after thrown sticks so intensely, he dives completely under water before popping up and swimming back. Thanks again, Ben Dancyger

Xeta de Casa Jagermeister

Hi Carlos.  Happy New Year!  Sorry it has taken so long to write but I've been busy with the baby and work!

I wanted to take a moment to update you on Gemma.  So the first three to four days after training were the best!!  She was extremely obedient.  My daughters were like "Mom, what did Carlos do, give her a lobotomy"  lol... well lets just say the lobotomy wore off !!

She is a puppy and a baby, just like a toddler in fact.  But all kidding aside I have to say what a difference in her devotion and desire to learn and listen to me her master is since obedience training!  The training really made a big difference.  When given the command "easy" she relaxes and settles down. I may have to do it again a minute later, but she is a baby and we constantly have to "train" them. I practice every day with her, walking in circles in the yard, yelling "come, easy and okay".  She responds instantly to the commands. She is much more affectionate with me and the girls.  I can walk her on a leash in peace, she doesn't pull or trip me.  We enjoy our morning walks to the park where we meet up with all our friends.  She will play nicely with the other dogs, but if I say easy and tug that leash, she sits next to me and waits for the come or okay command.  All our park friends comment on how well behaved she is.  I am the proud mother of course.  I brag about her training and while all the other dogs are pulling their owners, barking excessively, Gemma sits quietly at my feet, waiting for me to move and say "come"!  It is great.  She also has no more accidents in the house and the biting is 95% better!

I read a lot about dogs, what to feed them, how to train and exercise them, etc.  I belong to a few website where people post concerns with their GSD.  I must say only a few comment about feeding raw and how important and healthy it is.  But a lot of message are from owners with health issues and they do not feed raw.  All the raw feeders always comment RAW DIET.  Well that being said I just wanted to comment to you that I have no stomach, poo or poor coat issues with Gemma as I have continued feeding her raw exactly how you instructed.  I couldn't be happier and her also!   She is now a 59.2 lbs and 7 months and 15 days today.   She is beautiful and I love her with all my heart.

As I told you when I first talked with you, I thought about getting a dog for a year before I finally decided.  I researched breeds, puppies vs rescue, breeders and just about everything I could think of before I decided to contact you.  It was faith that the day I called you "you replied I happen to have a female puppy available now that I've decided to sell instead of keep".  I knew from that moment she was suppose to be my dog.  Gemma is a handful, an excited happy puppy that loves me with a devotion and love I've never known from any human being including my own children and parents.  She is a boat load of work and a big hit on my wallet.  That being said, I couldn't be happier to be her "Momma".  She brings me tremendous joy.  When I come home from work there she is waiting for me with that tail wagging.  She gives me kisses and hugs and is never cranky or not filled with love and joy cause "Mommy is home"!  She was the best decision I made and she is my best friend.

I attached a picture of Gemma at four months taken a few nights after we picked her up from you on October 6th.  Also one at seven months taken last week.  I was hoping you could use it on your website for the X-Litter as their on any of that litter posted on your site. Well also I'm so proud of my girl!

Take care and I'll be in touch soon for more training.

Fondly,

Tina, Gemma and girls!
