My name is Al Govednik and I am honored to be this year's FCI team captain. I have been involved with our sport since 1984, and my breed of choice is the German Shepherd Dog. Among the many dog related things I am involved with, I am also an USA judge and the president of the American Working Dog Federation. I am writing to ask for your support for our international FCI IPO championship team. I believe we have an opportunity to show the rest of the world wide working dog community how strong of an organization we have.

 

I believe it is vital to the success of our working dogs in America, that we support our teams and what they stand for. The AWDF has come to be associated with solid programs, that includes breeding as well as training programs. Our member clubs use combinations of these programs to crate strong working animals, with solid nerves.

In these times, when many of our animals' rights as well as our animals' welfare are coming under intense scrutiny, what better way to protect ourselves when to promote our organization, our programs, and those people that have worked hard to earn a chance to represent our working dogs in an international setting.

 

I am asking all of you to consider sponsoring our teams, as you will be helping the working dog in America as well.
